Be on the lookout…Self-Published Fantasy Month is coming…and change is on the horizon…
I thought about just posting that little teaser and being done with it, but then I figured you might want more. So here’s more…
Self-Published Fantasy Month is happening again this September!
I started Self-Published Fantasy Month in 2018 as a way to help bring more attention to some great authors who are publishing some great books. You can read more about my motivations behind this event in my post Announcing Self-Published Fantasy Month from that year. For the past two years I hosted the event here on the blog and posted reviews, interviews, and guest posts, and invited anyone who wanted to join me to do so.
This year I knew if I wanted this event to really grow and be the best it could be I would need to make some changes. The first thing I realized was that I couldn’t keep hosting it alone. So I invited a few others to join me and I’m excited to announce this is now a TEAM effort!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to have this awesome group of reviewers and bloggers joining me this year as co-hosts! If you don’t already follow them please check out their platforms, they really are great members of this community and do a TON to spread the word about self-published fantasy. Be on the lookout for another post where we introduce the team more fully.
Now, because this is a team with many talents it means we can do even more! For instance, that awesome new banner at the top of the post and the teaser vid you may have seen yesterday…they were created by the multi-talented Justine! Here’s some more of what we hope to do this year…
- A new stand-alone site for the event
- Even more book reviews
- Podcasts
- Interviews
- Guest posts
- A read-along
- Giveaway(s)
- And more
So be on the lookout for more posts in the coming weeks and months as we approach September. I can’t wait to share what all we have in store and can’t wait for you to join us.
Also, please follow the event Twitter account @SelfPubFanMonth and follow the hashtag #SelfPubFantasyMonth.
In the meantime be thinking about whether you want to participate and more importantly what books you might want to read. You don’t have to participate if you just want to try out a great self-published book. We look forward to some great reads in September!
